Inspiring Values!!

“I’m not home”… Tell him im sleeping”. These are the statements we often tell our children or household helpers to tell to our friends or family when we are not in mood to see them. LIES..!Plain and harmless these are for us… Every action and every statement that we commit daily has a short term and a long term impact. The short term impact is that motive gets achieved for instance, the person we don’t want to listen or meet will save his face for a later meeting. The long term impact however is rarely visible. We ourselves are actually imprinting a method for lying, scam and avoidance onto the young minds of children or the unaware minds of our house helpers. We stop them from going to neighbors place because the husband wife fights a lot but we watch a soap in front of them that has constant yelling and fighting. Then we complain of the world not being fair to us and our next generation not born with positive attitudes.

We never realize the impact of indirect or “not meant to be” exposing young minds to the treacheries of this world. All of us complain and will go on doing so without realizing the root cause. It’s time for a value check. Our country is in total ruins…reason the selfish guiles, swindlers following only their greed through any possible means. The brain of a child starts imprinting stuff by the age of five and then all through the life the canvas of brain has many prints. It’s upon the individual’s capacity and tendency that highlights the positives or the negatives out of that collage and then personifies them.

The other day I came along the poster of one of my childhood favorite cartoons Beavis and Butt-head.it was only an unkempt poster but sometimes scruffy things give rise to something good like a thoughtful thinking. The all so popular toon characters are a good time pass and maybe a safe one too but what values are they instilling. Beavis and Butt head the pair of teenagers were always on something, making bad plans, sarcastic talks, criticisms etc. Johnny bravo was always flirting around and wooing women. Homer Simpson of the Simpsons family was shown as a lazy alcoholic and reckless person. It was alright for Cinderella the beautiful to come back home after midnight. It was good to show the fights between Tom and Jerry but sibling fighting is a total NO NO. Why are we shocked when we see provinces fighting, why we find it hard to digest wasn’t that showed to us while young that it’s entertaining to watch each other run after for life. A lot of people will find this deep reality check and my thinking as absurd but to find a cure we always have to research and diagnose. The shit we are in today is deeper then we think. Needs deep contemplation on our parts, a comprehensive formulation of just not economical plans but a value structure for society. It’s time we revise our moral values. It might just be one insignificant thought of mine that our country will get back to development and growth once we succeed in crafting better individuals. Scrutinizing and reforming police, railways, airlines or schools will not work until the people working in them have strong ethics and moral values.
