Submission to Allah

I was talking to a class fellow yesterday and she was referring to the anxiety and frustration that is present in all our lives at one time or the other. Perhaps with concept of globalization and internationalization where we have made our lives easier we have emotionally entangled ourselves. Gen Y that’s us, only concerned with outcomes, maximum input to yield greater benefits. The problem with this approach is it hits back real hard when we fail.

There are always two plans, Allah’s plan and our plan. We never think of molding our plan to Allah’s. Life becomes easy when we accept what is HIS will. We become submissive. We admit that we are not sure about the results of our decision but whatever Allah has planned for us can never go wrong. That’s faith!! Skill development and identifying your skill has become talk of town, be it the business environment or academia. Students are asked to identify their skill and adopt careers and develop themselves in it to excel. To me even this roadmap is little long. All The Prophets, His Companions and all great Muslims from the history none worked on skill development rather they worked on Allah’s plan, gave full control to HIM and they excelled in whatever they did.

Finish up the tussle that goes on within us, one to go for our plan and the one that we have to adopt because we have no other options. Its better that instead of adopting it as a compromise accept your fate confidently that, ok! this was where I was supposed to be, meant to perform. Now what can I actually do to make my life worthwhile from here. Anxiety will go and you will feel productive. Rather than going and looking for skill development go and develop Allah’s plan because that’s exclusively what HE wants from you and no one else. Only you will and are suppose to do it. So, next time you are in a fix within just think this is Allah’s plan for you and its definitely leading you to your actual destination
