Accepting vs. Surrendering

Surrendering is going with the flow.Consider yourself a fish and when that fish finds its current and move along it.  Acceptance on the other hand is when while moving with the current you face a commotion but you don't stop. You don't lose the focus and the bigger broader perspective.

Acceptance is continuing to develop and grow on the way. Every other person we meet has a story to share. Everyone faces difficult times during the course of their lives. To accept your situation, pain, suffering is to acknowledge it. This is the first step. Once you make peace with your situation comes the second step; to make effort to rectify your situation and bring positive energy in . We are attached to identities, dreams, relationships because they formed us into our beings. We hold them tight we hold them dear. We forget to let them go. A butterfly has to let go of its cocoon once its out of it. Butterfly accepts the fact that reason of cocoon's existence is fulfilled. Our passions, our relationships and dreams are cocoons that lead us to the next. We get ourselves so emotionally attached to them that once they are gone we cannot take it and go into depression, solitude or cannot accept the change simply.
