Words to my Daughter

If ever I have a daughter... I’ll try to give her all that’s worth it!

I’ll tell her about Allah SWT not just as a Creator but One she can always turn to no matter what. This way she’ll always be close to HIM remember deep down Who to turn to when in distress and happiness.
I’ll just not tell her the fairy tales and stories of far away living prince but Rasool S.A.W of the truth and of the hardships so she knows amour is not the only life. Life is born out of hurt and hardship. So she be ready to face the world on her own terms but capable of the blows that life has to give. When life gives you bruises it cannot be recovered through wound creams or band aids. So when she realize that magic wand of the fairy isn’t going to work ,I’ll make sure to cuddle her long because no matter how hard you clinch yourself your shoulders would be too small to capture all the pain you want to send away.

“Chocolates hun” I would say… because yes they help cure almost anything. And Yes I’ve tried. I’ll teach her to walk in RAIN as water washes away all the hurt. I'll show her How to talk to Allah SWT cuz most of all that’s where her aching heart will find a way and she'll see the world as a wonderful place to live again.
I'll want her to see the world as it is through the thick and the thin, through the day and through the dark, through the glee and through the gloom. That’s how my mother taught me and that’s how I want to pass you on the legacy my Love! There are times like these when you think you are ready to conquer the world, reach and touch the skies. When you think rain boots and shovel are all you need to deal the stuff with but ever you get the piles of disappointment then; these are the times you should always be grateful for. There is nothing more strengthening than the trials out of defeat and persistence.

You will draw out of your beautiful hands and fill with “reds” and “blacks” and “whites” and it’s all the same with this life too. I’ll tell her to cling to her faith no matter what. Here friends become foes and foes come closer like moon and sun sharing the sky but never coming closer. People and relationships are like sand castles, no matter how hard you try to make them beautiful ultimately they have to go back in becoming sand. But she has to see the beautiful things out of this word “life”.

“Sweety” I would say, never stop thanking Allah SWT for the countless blessings and never hesitate to say sorry if you are wrong. Don’t let your pride take your relation but never let your relation step over your pride. Fly, Ride, swim and sing and when they strike you with hurt, don’t hide under the covers but flush all the hatred, slip the anger under the carpet and lie on pillow of defeat to rise again. Don’t let them make you a bitter person. You my Child are a beautiful human being! And when you see the world eye in eye, I watch you telling them you might want to meet my Mum One day!!!
